Article Issues
[edit]This article is written mostly by "webcontentteam" (clearly an in-house IT/Marketing function) and includes one source throughout. Blatent advert, conflict of interest and unsourced article. Liverrich (talk) 11:23, 4 August 2010 (UTC)

Proposed move
[edit]I propose to move this page to Eversheds Sutherland. What do you think? SethWhales talk 10:14, 14 May 2017 (UTC)
- Done, as uncontroversial, since this is the correct name now and Sutherland had no article that needed merging anyway. @Seth Whales: This article needs to be updated with the history of Sutherland Asbill & Brennan though, so please help with that if possible. Since I know people working at Eversheds from my studies and professional career, I am wary of making changes myself. Regards SoWhy 12:00, 14 May 2017 (UTC)
Change opening line as is now very inaccurate.
[edit]Since Eversheds Sutherland is now a combination of two law firms (Eversheds and Sutherland Law), US regulators forbid the new entity to be named as a law 'firm'. Please can this be edited so the passage reads as below.
Eversheds Sutherland Ltd (until 1 February 2017: Eversheds LLP and Sutherland Asbill & Brennan LLP) is a global multinational law practice.
Headquartered in London part should now be removed because as a combination entity we do not have one single headquarters. Also the reference to being in the top largest 50 law firm in the world links to a page which has Sutherland Asbill & Brennan listed, so please remove this also. — Preceding unsigned comment added by ST eversheds-sutherland (talk • contribs) 15:59, 14 June 2018 (UTC)
- @ST eversheds-sutherland: Done. Regards SoWhy 16:13, 14 June 2018 (UTC)
Thanks for the changes SoWhy - however the opening text does not still not describe the company accurately - Please see text below which is taken from the footer of the Eversheds Sutherland global website (http://www.eversheds-sutherland.com) and explains how the different entities operate under one global brand and why it cannot be referred to as a 'law firm' but only a 'law practice'.
Eversheds Sutherland is a global provider of legal services operating through various separate and distinct legal entities.
Eversheds Sutherland is the name and brand under which the members of Eversheds Sutherland Limited (Eversheds Sutherland (International) LLP and Eversheds Sutherland (US) LLP) and their respective controlled, managed and affiliated firms and the members of Eversheds Sutherland (Europe) Limited (each an "Eversheds Sutherland Entity" and together the "Eversheds Sutherland Entities") provide legal or other services to clients around the world. Eversheds Sutherland Entities are constituted and regulated in accordance with relevant local regulatory and legal requirements and operate in accordance with their locally registered names. The use of the name Eversheds Sutherland, is for description purposes only and does not imply that the Eversheds Sutherland Entities are in a partnership or are part of a global LLP. The responsibility for the provision of services to the client is defined in the terms of engagement between the instructed firm and the client. — Preceding unsigned comment added by ST eversheds-sutherland (talk • contribs) 08:13, 15 June 2018 (UTC)
Death of Geraint Thomas
[edit]I don't think this section is appropriate while there is still an ongoing investigation around Geraint's death and propose it is removed as it cites an article which suggests foul play when nothing has been proven. — Preceding unsigned comment added by ST eversheds-sutherland (talk • contribs) 09:39, 7 January 2019 (UTC)
