Do You Know More About Evelyn Grubb? Input welcome
[edit]I just started this article and I'm sure it could be improved upon. Any additional info (or corrections) are welcome. Changes would however need to relate to verifiable sources (as per Wikipedia policy), such as books, news articles, etc.

P.S. One more note-- please keep Wikipedias format in mind. Wikipedia articles are supposed to be highlights of the key points of the subjects life. They can reference sources that are more in-depth, but the article itself should only touch on a few key highlights rather than tell the story in great detail.

Correction
[edit]I just read some stuff today that changes what I thought I knew about Evelyn Grubbs role in the formation of the POW/MIA flag.
In fact, she oversaw the development process (which is worthy of mention) but someone else conceptualized it and the League board was also involved. I have corrected this article and also fixed other Wikipedia articles that I know of where Evelyn Grubb is mentioned.
Since her role in the flags creation was as a part of the process, but not the conceptualizer, I have also removed the POW/MIA flag from the article. Maybe it can be put back later, but I am erring on the side of caution after my having made a mistake with an historical detail.

P.S. I thought I knew the highlights of the story really well. So I put the article up very quickly, thinking I had solid knowledge of the main points, and could just reference the book, since I assumed that would be in he book.
But now the more that I am reading, the more I see that the details are more complicated than I thought.
It's clear that Evelyn Grubb accomplished a lot, but I wish I had read more thoroughly before starting the article. Thats a problem when you think you already know the story.
As I have time, I will try to catch up with/do more of the reading. As I mentioned previously (see top of this page), anyone who wants to can contribute to the article. Just click on "Edit" above any section that you want, to make additions or corrections.
Please only add documented sources. And read everything first, don't make the mistake that I did by getting ahead of yourself.

Expert help request: I found a Wikipedia banner for asking for additional help on the subject and placed it at the head of the article. I don't know if it will be seen as no one but me has ever commented back here in the discussion area and this article is very new.
I hope to also eventually catch up on the reading. I had assumed I knew the main facts of the story and therefore assumed that would be in the book. But the story is more complex than I realized. With a Wikipedia (biography) article, only the highlights of a biography are included, but even just the highlights of this story are more complicated than I had realized.
