"Mediocre"?

[edit]

This page describes the album 'Eve' as "rather mediocre", and conveys the idea that it's the generally-held view. It isn't - opinions on 'Eve' vary between those who dislike it and those who hold it in high esteem.

In any case, "rather mediocre" is judgemental, subjective and Point of View. I'm thinking of deleting this phrase unless anyone objects.

Moreover, the same is said on this page of 'Pyramid', often described as one of Parsons' very best albums! --Vvmodel (talk) 18:47, 2 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I agree. The views expressed in article as it stands are both highly judgemental and (in my experience) rarely-held (particularly relating to "Pyramid". If you don't get around to deleting it, I'll do it. 86.7.21.237 (talk) 02:39, 31 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I've removed the statement; it's opinion and has no place here without some form of citation. Crossbottle (talk) 21:37, 11 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Rewritten lead section

[edit]

I've rewritten the lead section, replacing citeless POV/OR interpretations with descriptions based on the APP official web site.

Which means you replaced POV/OR with a primary source. Just an infinitesimal improvement. --jae (talk) 16:30, 1 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]

I've also removed a discussion of "appearances of women in later AP albums" which, although it may be correct, is not really appropriate for the lead section of this album, and appears to have been inserted in response to the POV/OR comments that I've removed. For posterity, the removed text is as follows:

On later Alan Parsons releases, "Mr Time" (from Try Anything Once - Jacqui Copland) & " Call Of The Wild" (from The Time Machine - Máire Brennan) featured lead female voices. The album Freudiana (intended to be the Project's eleventh album but released as a solo Eric Woolfson album) also featured lead female vocals.

If someone can find a better home for it, please feel free to do so. 86.7.30.217 (talk) 17:59, 26 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]
