I would like to address the comment that "No modern day inhabitants" lived on the island prior to 1984. My father built our home, which was possessed by the Chenega Village Corp. in 1982, and our family lived on the island from 1970-1980. I consider it my home, and I grew up there with my brother and sister. - Cleo P. Fisher
