CHANGE (In July 2013, while they were staying at a hotel in Montreal, Canada, someone overheard a dispute coming from their room and called the police. After a "heated argument," they had begun hitting each other.[29] When the police arrived, they arrested Roberts.[30] Peters was not arrested because Roberts did not have any immediately visible injuries.[31] Peters declined to press charges, and Roberts was released several hours later.)
TO
(In 2013 while the couple was staying at a hotel in Montreal, Canada, at around 2:00 a.m. on 7 July someone overheard a dispute coming from their room and called the police. After interviewing witnesses and both occupants of the hotel suite, officers took Roberts into custody. Officers allegedly noticed Peters had a bloody nose and a bite mark. Peters decided not to press charges and Roberts was released several hours later.)

(A note I'd like to add as a message to whoever reads this: I want to make this change because the claim that they were "hitting each other" and that "Peters was not arrested because Roberts did not have any immediately visible injuries" is misleading and harmful, implying that Evan was abusive back, when that has not been confirmed anywhere and is simply a lie. Those claims also go against the official information we have from police, further indicating that it's false. The source of those claims is an unreliable source. It was from "a source close to Emma" sent to TMZ right around the time when news of her arrest became public and she was trying to clean up her image more. I sincerely hope that my suggestion for these changes will be accepted. Thank you.) Refurinn (talk) 15:18, 10 March 2024 (UTC)
- But the source quoted in the globalnews article that you're using as a reference is also TMZ. It's the same source. DrKay (talk) 18:25, 13 March 2024 (UTC)
- Let me specify. The issue in the Wikipedia article is that a 'source close to Emma' (who claims that "they were hitting each other" and that "only she was arrested because he had immediate injuries") is being presented as a "fact", heavily insinuating that what happened was some sort of 'mutual abuse' (and the Wikipedia article doesn't even say that it's from a 'source close to Emma'), even though it goes against the information provided in the Global News article (which is info *not* provided in the TMZ article), that mentions official information from police representative Const.Danny Richer, who gives us this important information: after interviewing witnesses and both occupants of the hotel suite, officers took a female suspect into custody. (This tells us that they carefully assessed the situation before making the arrest, something that the Wikipedia article doesn't specify). I think we need to be careful not to show misleading information (like the stuff I mentioned, which most likely just came from Emma's PR team), or at least add the information from the police and mention that the other info is from a source 'close to Emma' that was sent to TMZ. - Since no-one has objected, I have made the edit. DrKay (talk) 18:11, 14 March 2024 (UTC)

In the 5th sentence under Personal Life, add the word "want" after the word "not" - changing the beginning of the sentence from "Peters did not to press charges" to "Peters did not want to press charges" 35.128.15.20 (talk) 13:09, 25 March 2024 (UTC)
