This is a tricky one - there is a category for Category:Pulmonology journals which features most of the major publications in the field, but does not feature any of the ERS ones. Using the (admittedly controversial) Impact Factor metric, the European Respiratory Journal is currently ranked 4th among respiratory journals. I have a strong COI here but I also have a secondary reason for suggesting an expansion of the European Respiratory Journal's Wikipedia presence: it was founded in 1988 from a merger of two other journals. Many of the people involved are now retired, and it would be nice to try to collect some of the history before it is lost. (Longer-term question: is it ethical for the ERS staff to put out a call to ERS members to contribute to wiki pages about the society, as part of a history-collecting effort?)
It sounds like there are a couple of issues here: 1) proper representation of ERS and its journal's presence and 2) recording the history of the organization.
When you say that Category:Pulmonology journals doesn't represent ERS journals, so you mean that there aren't any ERS journals in Wikipedia? Or, that they haven't been added to the category?
It makes sense to capture some historical information about the organization within the context of an encyclopedia, e.g., notable events, significant organizational changes, etc.
Sounds good! For now, I'll close this request. If you have a specific request later, please feel free to open a new {{request edit}}. If you decide that you'd like to start to draft an article about one or more journals, you could start it in your sandbox (click the red link to go to the page) and then open up a request here to have it reviewed.--CaroleHenson(talk)13:32, 25 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]
