Anne Applebaum
[edit]I hesitated to include Appelbaum's, because she has her own misconceptions. For example, she writes "since independence, the Ukrainian state has behaved in an exemplary fashion toward its minorities", which is plain false, both at the time of the writing, and especially today, and some other less egregious utterances.
