Talk:Eurasia (Nineteen Eighty-Four)
Needs citations
[edit]"most likely", "it may", "one can speculate that ... is most likely", "it is very possible", "it is unknown ... but it is likely", "one can only speculate". Need facts with citations, not speculation and original research. Nurg 08:41, 18 November 2006 (UTC)
Additional material for possible inclusion
[edit]The following was moved here from Eurasia.
- A Eurasia comprising approximately the same land area as the landmass itself in Nineteen Eighty-Four (excluding the British Isles (controlled by Oceania) and Eastasia, the latter of which was formed, as the novel says, by an alliance of the states of the region, being the most important couple China and Japan after a 'decade of confused fighting'). India was a contested border zone between Eurasia and Oceania and was the most famous state involved.

Speculative passages deleted.
- One can only speculate that the centre figure or hero of Eurasia is either Lenin, Stalin, Marx or Engels, as each was a hero of the Soviet Union.
Neo-Bolshevism
[edit]The link for Neo-Bolshevism just fed into the Nineteen Eighty-Four page, so I deleted the link. If anyone can think of a good reason for it, feel free to restore it. CsikosLo (talk) 18:15, 12 March 2008 (UTC)
Merge
[edit]The contents of this page were merged into Nations of Nineteen Eighty-Four, along with the contents of the pages on Oceania and Eastasia, per the discussion here. Nutiketaiel (talk) 14:19, 9 September 2008 (UTC)
