Camp Shriver

[edit]

Right now there is a redirect for Camp Shriver to this article. I have created a request for this to be separated as I believe there should be a separate Camp Shriver article as there is enough material there and history involved that it could stand on its own. --Jasenlee (talk) 03:42, 22 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Statement from the family?

[edit]

Obviously a good woman and did good things, but the family statement seems out of place here.Ykral (talk) 18:37, 11 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

i somewhat agree. mention of the statement could be supported by merely a link. however, i would be inclined leave it for several weeks until the page activity has ebbed.--98.116.115.180 (talk) 18:50, 11 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]
The long, sentimental statement is out of place in an article as short as this. The statement includes basic stuff that applies to many millions of women across the world: 'wife, mother, grandmother, aunt'. It is ridicluous - how can anyone 'hardly believe' that someone whom they knew to be 88 and seriously ill for years has died? Whilst the statement is their words, parts of it are untrue - she did not personally 'transform the lives of hundreds of millions of people'. Cause of death

[edit]

Did she die of a stroke, as some sources claim? Correct & improve (talk) 16:42, 12 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Paralympics

[edit]

There may be an error here... Dr. Ludwig Guttmann is creidted with founding the Paralympic games see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ludwig_Guttmann [1]99.253.248.68 (talk) 20:18, 14 February 2010 (UTC)Ross Chapman[reply]

The Paralympics and the Special Olympics are not the same thing. If I understand the distinction correctly, the Paralympics are for people with physical disabilities, and the Special Olympics are for those with intellectual disabilities. Beyond My Ken (talk) 06:30, 16 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Has the divorce completed already?

[edit]

"Their daughter, Maria Shriver, was married to actor and former California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger." I understand at today's date (3rd July 2011) that she has only just filed for divorce and this being America, it may be a slightly more drawn out and convoluted (expensive) process! Maria Schriver's entry incidentally correctly shows that they are separated. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 82.43.170.141 (talk) 12:26, 3 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Sources

[edit]

After adding a bunch of sources to this article, I see that there are still six "citation needed" tags and eight "better source needed" tags. I would welcome help from others in sourcing this material. Thank you. SunCrow (talk) 05:45, 5 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]

SunCrow, in some cases, a primary source is acceptable. Please just ensure everything in the sentence is supported by the primary source cited and just remove the {{better source needed}} tag. I did a few. Primary sources are acceptable for non-exceptional claims such as winning so and so award. --- Coffeeandcrumbs 07:22, 5 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]
