Article neutrality and other issues

[edit]

The article as written is hardly encyclopedic in tone. Rather, it reads like a promotional brochure for the physician. Further, I note that the edit summaries to date have all included the phrase "Lipov approved", which indicates the article was written at the direction of the article's subject, if not by the subject himself. If the article cannot be rewritted to comply with appropriate policies, including WP:RS, WP:BLP, WP:NPOV, and WP:SPIP, it may be nominated for deletion. --Alan the Roving Ambassador (talk) 21:26, 4 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Deletion is not clean up, so nominating it for deletion is not appropriate. However, I agree that it's a bit of a mess. WhatamIdoing (talk) 21:35, 12 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Wiki should not be used for self-promotion. From his website it is clear that he adores the limelight, and most importantly: he performs experimental procedures which - because he courts the media - is able to sell as revolutionary treatment. His procedure (stellate ganglion block) effectively "reboots" the insular cortex, allowing for a reduction in hot flashes, PTSD - and in his patent description - improve addiction, depression etc etc. The medical community should strongly object to human experimentation and interference with the human brain. While reading his 'patent submission' and articles, it is easy to recognize that he knows very little about the brain function he is tinkering with. Propaganda should not be allowed on Wiki, esp. not when the self-promotion can mislead and entrap the unsuspecting (naive) public. I recommend his page to be deleted in its entirety. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 122.110.22.156 (talk) 05:46, 27 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]
