Sources..
[edit]Because this happened so long ago, and while very large in Print media at the time, most that is no longer referable, the only verifiable source is the True crime book written about the story. Most other references will cite the original book, so the main article is referenced to the book, however I've added two separately identifiable sources that have a passing mention about the kidnapping.
Additionally I could add unlinked ref to a 17 April 1966 Sunday Times Print news article, that i have not read, and may not be able to verify. I do know that the Johannesburg library does have Micro film of many of the old papers, (been through the archive my self a few times), however I no longer have time/ proximity to the library to check them....
I'd love to add it as a second source to the body of the article, but with out seeing what was in print, I'm worried i might put reference to something not mentioned, and also because I've not used it as a source, I can't use it as a reference...GremlinSA 07:57, 19 March 2015 (UTC)
- Thanks, I had seen those other two references. I will keep looking. I did find mention of another book written in 1986 called The Glazer Kidnapping by Kenny Levy. Johannesburg :Strydom, 1986. Book ISBN: 0947025030, 9780947025038 OCLC: 86059460. I will do a library search for it tomorrow. WordSeventeen (talk) 08:31, 19 March 2015 (UTC)
- Found this review on the book.. looks like it will definitely help expand this article. hmm.... wonder if my local bookstore might be able to get me a copy.. eish, it'll have to wait because I still need to do the startups on Debbie Calitz/Bruno Pelizzari ,Pierre/Yolande Korkie and Stephen McGowan pages.... - The New York Times ran a Reuters story on June 11, 1966, headlined "3 Brothers in South Africa Sentenced for Kidnapping" mentioning that sentencing took place on June 10, in Johannesburg. However, the full story is behind a paywall. No doubt there are other newspaper, and their on-line archives, around the world that also carried a syndicated copy of the story from that time, especially since the story appears to have made the international news. Consider looking in those archives, too. - Cameron Dewe (talk) 22:31, 25 September 2022 (UTC)

Highest Ransom
[edit]Find reference to highest Ransom in history very misleading. See https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Richard_Oetker#Kidnapping for 12 Million Marks Ransom paid in 1976. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 165.255.133.181 (talk) 19:28, 14 February 2017 (UTC)
