Opening statement
[edit]In reviews I conduct, I may make small copyedits. These will only be limited to spelling and punctuation (removal of double spaces and such). I will only make substantive edits that change the flow and structure of the prose if I previously suggested and it is necessary. For replying to Reviewer comment, please use Done, Fixed, Added, Not done, Doing..., or Removed, followed by any comment you'd like to make. I will be crossing out my comments as they are redressed, and only mine. A detailed, section-by-section review will follow. —♠Vami_IV†♠ 11:34, 13 April 2020 (UTC)
As this the first of the reviewee's articles that I have reviewed, they should note that I am a grammar pendant and will nitpick in the interest of prose quality. –♠Vami_IV†♠ 11:34, 13 April 2020 (UTC)
Prose

though deeper ship channels

The Guadalupe Estuary is located on the mid Texas coast in Calhoun, Aransas, and Refugio Counties.
I'd abbreviate this.
- Er, how would you do that? Each of the noun phrases in that sentence is an important piece of information that the sentence is meant to convey and that doesn't appear elsewhere in the article. -Bryan Rutherford (talk) 13:42, 13 April 2020 (UTC)
- Consider:
The Guadalupe Estuary is located at the center of the Texas coastline [...]
- Do you mean cutting out the counties? That seems to me like an important detail that, again, isn't mentioned elsewhere. -Bryan Rutherford (talk) 14:56, 13 April 2020 (UTC)
- No. That's why I left the ellipse there. –♠Vami_IV†♠ 15:44, 13 April 2020 (UTC)
- Done Okay, how about "... is located near the middle of the Texas coast ... "? -Bryan Rutherford (talk) 17:32, 13 April 2020 (UTC)
- Works for me. –♠Vami_IV†♠ 19:08, 14 April 2020 (UTC)

separated from the Gulf of Mexico by Matagorda Peninsula
the Matagorda Peninsula.
The Trinity–San Jacinto Estuary is located on the upper Texas coast
Change "upper" to "eastern".
- Done "northeastern" -Bryan Rutherford (talk) 13:42, 13 April 2020 (UTC)
USS Texas being moored in the Trinity-San Jacinto Bay is worth mentioning in the prose.
the so-called Golden Triangle of Texas
Expand this wikilink to cover "Golden Triangle of Texas".
Christmas Bay is linked twice in "Christmas Bay Estuary".
- Apologies, but I only see one (the first two words of the paragraph). -Bryan Rutherford (talk) 13:42, 13 April 2020 (UTC)
- Main article template and the prose link. –♠Vami_IV†♠ 14:10, 13 April 2020 (UTC)
- Done Fair enough; also removed for East Matagorda Bay. -Bryan Rutherford (talk) 14:56, 13 April 2020 (UTC)
