just in case anyone's wondering - no, I have been a Galizan nationalist for over 15 years and I have never actually seen this name used to refer to this flag, altjough propositions have been made to that efect. This article is basically POV on the grounds that it portrays wishful thinking as reality.
Article says catalan estelada is inspired by socialism but that's not true. Estelada was inspired by the Cuban flagg as creates shortly after the independence of that country (and therefore, before the communist revolution) and although some variants have been created throghout time with a socialist meaning capitalizing the presence of the star, its origin has no relation with it.
