Robert Kurvitz: Of Sacred and Terrible Air.
[edit]Robert Kurvitz, the Estonian creative head behind the internationally well-known Disco Elysium, based the entirety of the game's events off of his personal group's tabletop RPG group setting, and eventually published a 2013 novel Sacred and Terrible Air (Estonian: Püha ja õudne lõhn) within the setting. It has been praised by many Estonian critics, such as Jaak Tomberg, and there are multiple connections between the famous game and the growingly famous novel in the game's wake. The author's depression following the novel's initial failure eventually led him to his position of turning the setting into an RPG video game. Is there any reason for his novel to not be included as notable Estonian literature? Uirusu (talk) 23:50, 4 April 2024 (UTC)
