Please note that I've uploaded this article with aprox 70% of the info I intend to convey in the final version. Its layout is based on the one used in the "ARA Almirante Brown (D-10)" argentinian destroyer (frigatte) class.
Will upload the remaining info for the "Specifications" section ideally on 2007-07-17. It will be more detailed than the one in the "infobox".

Finalised the first complete version of this article, after uploading the detailed specifications (source: Argentine Navy official website, "Espora Class" specifications webpage) and ammending some minor errors.

References and citations

[edit]

I've added a section to deal with references; will add online citations as soon as possible during this month. Regards, DPdH (talk) 00:41, 14 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Relation to the "João Coutinho" class

[edit]

In the article related to the João Coutinho class corvette is is said that the "MEKO 140" (hence, the Espora class) is based on that design. I'll look for additional sources supporting that fact, and will modify this article accordingly. Regards, DPdH (talk) 02:02, 19 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Proposed merge with MEKO 140 article

[edit]

oppose This article is about a specific class of ships in service, as known by the user (Argentine Navy), while the other (MEKO 140) is about a project (and its derivatives) and its techgnical characteristics (modularity, etc), as known to the builder (Blohm & Voss).
Kind regards, DPdH (talk) 05:09, 20 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

oppose I oppose this merger as well. The Espora class is only the one class, while the MEKO 140 is a type classification that can extend beyond the designation that a particular country gives them.SAWGunner89 (talk) 13:46, 28 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Oppose for the reasons mentioned above. It is really strange that the original proposer did not post anything to support the proposal. I'm going to remove the template because it has no support and has gone stale anyway. Roger (talk) 19:18, 14 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]
