Is it an Airport?
[edit]Not sure about this. It does not handle passenger traffic so the notion of "port" is maybe not relevant. They describe it as an airFIELD in the website and literature. Is it generically an "Airport" or is "field" more relevant in this case? leaky_caldron 07:46, 25 April 2006 (UTC)
No, this is not a airport. It is only for General Aviation & Micrlights etc.. Djmckee1 - Talk 16:21, 3 July 2007 (UTC)
Runway numbering
[edit]In our article and in Ordnance Survey aerial photos the E–W (ish) runway is 08/26. On the airfield's website and on Google Earth aerial photos it's 07/25. I know it's not the most earth shattering encyclopaedic discrepancy ever, but it niggles at me a little having them disagree. Is there an obvious way forward (haha) with this? Best to all, DBaK (talk) 17:10, 23 August 2024 (UTC)
- It's been renumbered, due to the annoying habit that mag North has of wandering around. The airfield website is right, with 07/25, and I have changed the article to match that. Best to all, DBaK (talk) 22:41, 24 August 2024 (UTC)
