Changes: correct title is Escape Magazine - maybe move page to correct name at a later date?

Added new sections, "Origins" and "The Importance of BD", based on article written by Paul Gravett in The Comics Journal Special Edition vol 3, Winter 2003.

Added contents for Issue Two. (Can't find my Issue One right now...) I intend to do this for all issues in my possession unless someone thinks that's a really bad idea. Perhaps spin it off to a new page eventually. I'd appreciate advice on the correct way to format this.

To come: Sections on the magazine's life and its ongoing influence, specifically on the later British small press scene and the "Highwater Books" groups of American cartoonists (Tom Hart, et al)

Removed Stub as it's not really a stub any more. ;)

Yes the name is my fault, I've moved it accordingly. The detailed content is the perfect example of what should go in a list, I think, possibly a List of Escape Magazine contents, as its inclusion here would unbalance the article, which should just cover a brief summary. I've changed a few links to the correct wiki format, not sure if you found the article on minicomics. Boning up on how capitalisation works in naming articles here is a good tip, it caused me a few peoblems when I first got here. Anyways, thanks for tidying this up, there's a few of them about that I just threw against the wall when I got here and since got sidetracked into other stuff that you're probably better suited to fill out. Also, did you see the article on Small press, not that I don't think the UK small press scene fully deserves an article of its own, just that when you get it done, whack some info there about it. And for the Westminster comic mart article there's a wonderful Eddie Campbell and Richard Starkings exchange somewhere on the Pulse or one of them sites that I'd planned to work into an article at some point. Completed listing of issue contents for first seven issues. I agree, probably best to move it to it's own page eventually, especially once we get the subsequent A4 issues (which I don't have a complete run of myself). Peteashton 01:59, 11 August 2005 (UTC)[reply]
Moved listing of issue contents to new page, List of Escape Magazine contents. Added new section on The A5 Years. Shifted all pre-publication stuff into Origins section along with a new paragraph abut Pssst!. Stuck a jpeg of Issue 3's cover in. I think we're getting somewhere. Maybe about a third of the way there. Peteashton 05:25, 11 August 2005 (UTC)[reply]
Added section of The Titan Years. This needs to be expanded to describe what comics were run and subjects written about. Also some context would by useful regarding the boom British and American comics were going through at the time. Added visual example of Escape typography. The message board site about the Westminster days is here. Hiding talk 08:13, 11 August 2005 (UTC)[reply]
Excellent - thanks for that! Peteashton 09:07, 11 August 2005 (UTC)[reply]
Added Escape Books and Legacy, a few more references and external links and probably some other stuff. My eyes hurt. I think I'm going to leave this for now, maybe concentrate on Glenn Dakin for a bit. Peteashton 09:07, 11 August 2005 (UTC)[reply]
