- First, please sign your posts on Talk pages. Second, the obligation to provide a reliable source lies with the editors wishing to include the material, not with those seeking to remove it. Third, don't remove material unrelated to your current dispute (e.g. the info box). --ElKevbo 12:48, 2 February 2007 (UTC)
Citation problem and alumni
[edit]The recently added item about the change of mascot and the playing of Dixie is only partly covered by the cited source (i.e., the source states only that there was a riot after the school band played Dixie, the rest is still unsourced).
As everything is supposed to be sourced in an article, I have removed the alumni section, as there were no sources cited for these people being alumni of Escambia High, and the article for those people do not mention Escambia High. -- Donald Albury 11:40, 5 July 2007 (UTC)
- Fixed. Instead of deleting the alumni section, you should have used the {{fact}} tag. —Disavian (talk/contribs) 14:01, 5 July 2007 (UTC)
- My experience is that tagging the unsourced insertion of people's names into lists almost never receives any response at all. In many cases there is no reliable source for the claims. -- Donald Albury 16:41, 5 July 2007 (UTC)
- Check Escambia High School riots; there is a second source that can be brought over here for the other stuff. Mike H. I did "That's hot" first! 15:03, 6 July 2007 (UTC)
- Yeah, that's what I did. —Disavian (talk/contribs) 15:17, 6 July 2007 (UTC)
- don't know if this is a reliable source or could lead to one. http://www.databasefootball.com/players/playerpage.htm?ilkid=BUTLEBIL03 supports Bill Butler. Agathoclea (talk) 19:31, 29 September 2008 (UTC)
