- ... that artist Ervin Herve Loranth refers to his sculptures as "public surprises"? Source: "...the artist does not call his work a sculpture, but a public surprise."
- ALT1: ... that Ervin Herve Loranth creates giant polystyrene sculptures of human figures? Source: "A Public Art “Giant” Popped up ...polystyrene foam ...consists of a colossal head and arms—its face anguished ...crawling out of subterranean Budapest through a lawn in one of the city’s famous squares."
** ALT2: ... that Ervin Herve Loranth created a sculpture, based on a photograph by Robert Capa, which was widely panned and then destroyed? Source: "...depicted the militiaman of the iconic image of Capa. The crappy giant has received quite a bit of criticism in recent days."
The ugly giant statue
A few days ago, more and more people want the terrified masterpiece of the drunken tapir, the militia statue, to disappear from Széchenyi Square. And he's gone. They were cut up, some were taken away, some were lying on the grass. That's all for the militiaman.

- Interesting. Certainly an intriging subject. I think the main hook is best but I prefer the other image in the article as it is more immediately clear what it is ... and because its funny its more likely to be chosen as a picture hook. However the main hook is good with the image you have, (but IMO the other is better). Alt1 is fine. Alt2 source has a 404 error but I can see that too. If you want to go with this image then ping me and I'll tick it. Victuallers (talk) 14:00, 22 January 2022 (UTC)
- Hi @Victuallers: Hi, ATLO is ok. Regarding photos, the other photo in the article is a non-free I believe, so this photo will have to do. Thank you for the review! Bruxton (talk) 21:16, 22 January 2022 (UTC)
Long enough, neutral and no cut an pastes spotted. I'll let the picker pick the best hook which are all reffed and decide about the photo. (I worry that the sculpture picture looks headless to me). I don't understand why you say the other (funnier) image is not free as it is labelled as free to use, but nevermind. My pick would be Alt0 without the photo for the final slot, but the picker will pick. Keep up the good work. Victuallers (talk) 17:48, 24 January 2022 (UTC)
- @Victuallers: Hey, if the other image is free, I also want to use it. Bruxton (talk) 17:59, 24 January 2022 (UTC)
- So can you change the image and strike out alt3 and I will retick Victuallers (talk) 18:07, 24 January 2022 (UTC)
- Done - @Victuallers: Thanks for the suggestion, it is a much better photo. Bruxton (talk) 02:24, 25 January 2022 (UTC)
- Good to go Victuallers (talk) 07:58, 26 January 2022 (UTC)
