Seeking clarification
[edit]"In a paradoxical turn of events, Kitzinger, forced to leave Germany because he was Jewish, was in 1940 forced to leave England because he was German. He was imprisoned in Australia for nine months, where he passed the time by learning Russian from a fellow prisoner."
I'd write it as the following if I knew more about this.
In a paradoxical turn of events, Kitzinger, forced to leave Germany for England because he was Jewish, was deported to an Australian prison in 1940 because he was German. He spent nine months there, passing time by learning Russian from a fellow prisoner.
Basically, I think his transition from England to Australia should be clarified.
