Fair use rationale for Image:Ernest Goes To Jail.jpg
[edit]Image:Ernest Goes To Jail.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If there is other other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 04:09, 3 June 2007 (UTC)
"As Barbera Bush"
[edit]I'm omitting text to an obvious vandal's edit. In the following, the Bold text will be removed: "Barbara Tyson — Charlotte Sparrow (as Barbara Bush)" 67.161.208.225 (talk) 02:16, 30 January 2008 (UTC)
Thanks for taking that out
[edit]Thank you so much to whoever took out that false piece of trivia about the rape scene. It was a very reponsible thing for you to do. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 67.171.37.115 (talk) 03:15, 13 March 2008 (UTC)
- Sorry! It's me again. I reverted my own edit. I guess according to imdb.com, that's how Charlotte's character is casted. My bad. 67.161.208.225 (talk) 02:37, 30 January 2008 (UTC)
"Emily Corbishdale" as "Betty McGee" billed before Jim Varney as Ernest P. Worrell?!
[edit]I checked imdb.com, as well as searched Wikipedia, and there is no sign of either the actor or the character, so I removed the obvious vandalism. Also, could anyone tell me the relevant significance of the translation of the title "Ernest Goes To Jail" into Anglo-Norman French? Removed that as well. 98.202.38.225 (talk) 22:36, 17 July 2009 (UTC)
Reception
[edit]Will someone consider revising the Reception section of the main article? The link footnoted, while lampooning the film's droll dialogue, actually hoists this as the best Ernest film up until its point. I don't think it's particularly fair to claim it "gained a negative reception from critics." --Photoactivist (talk) 14:42, 29 March 2011 (UTC)
- My guess is that the negative claim is basd on the film's score at one of the aggregate websites (like Rotten Tomatoes). I haven't looked to verify this but that would be my hunch. Regardless, you're correct that our source kind of doesn't match up with our text. I don't have a lot of time right now but if no one beats me to it, I can site down in a few days and dig through the RT reviews and compose something short and sweet and, hopefully, a little more complete than what we have. Reception sections aren't my forte but I can a least get a paragraph that's more balanced up there. Millahnna (talk) 15:00, 29 March 2011 (UTC)
