A fact from Eris (simulation) appeared on Wikipedia's Main Page in the Did you know column on 16 September 2011 (check views). The text of the entry was as follows:
|
"A long time ago in a galaxy far, far away...."
[edit]Amazing that there is no mention of a date or timeframe for this masterful feat. Myopia anyone? 24.28.17.231 (talk) 01:16, 16 September 2011 (UTC)
Time resolution?
[edit]13 billion years sounds like a lot of time, unless, of course, you're calculating it a billion years at a time. Does anyone know the time stepping that they used to generate this? The video I saw was one frame per four million years, but I'm certain they had to be doing this at a higher resolution than that. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 206.124.30.14 (talk) 17:24, 10 August 2012 (UTC)
