The result of the move request was: Moved. There is no issue with a conflict-of-interest move request if it garners the consensus of the community. And with the WP:COMMONNAME / MOS:IDENTITY arguments, and indeed the fact that the move to the current title was made without discussion, I see a consensus to revert back to the pre-2017 name. — Amakuru (talk) 12:01, 20 June 2019 (UTC)
Erica Walker → Erica N. Walker – Dr. Walker has requested this change for the purposes of uniformity. In my capacity as her research assistant, I am placing this request on her behalf. jonthon (talk) 04:25, 12 June 2019 (UTC)
- Support Erica Walker → Erica N. Walker since the form with the middle initial is indeed her pen name and her professional name. —Roman Spinner (talk • contribs) 07:35, 12 June 2019 (UTC)
- Oppose. Her common name does appear to be Erica Walker, even on her university webpage. -- Necrothesp (talk) 12:22, 12 June 2019 (UTC)
- Oppose move for conflict of interest. O.N.R. (talk) 03:06, 13 June 2019 (UTC)
- Support reversion of this undiscussed move from 2017. Although both versions are common and used in refs in this article, some columbia.edu[1][2][3] and other websites use the initial, so it seems reasonable to use the subject's preferred professional name. (And although there would have been a conflict of interest if the nom had moved the page unilaterally, opening this discussion for community input while disclosing a relationship is exactly the right way to proceed.) Station1 (talk) 05:34, 13 June 2019 (UTC)
- Support. If someone wants to be referred to by a certain name, it seems only fair (and it's not like it's never used, per Station1). And I don't really see what the COI is here... Nohomersryan (talk) 19:13, 15 June 2019 (UTC)
