Who wants to help?

[edit]

Eric Szmanda is one of my favourite actors and I would like to expand his wiki page. The thing is, I'm new to editing pages on wikipedia. I'm picking up the lingo slowly but I'm not sure what to do about Eric's filmography. Do we include the roles he played on TV shows where he may have only been in one or a few episodes of the show? I'm trying to say, his guest roles where he was only there for one episodes? If so, how would one do that?

I would like to add that I added an info box but can someone tell me how to get a picture on wiki? Like, do we need to upload them from somewhere because I don't have a problem with the current picture, but how would one go about changing it if needed? Polish?

[edit]

Does anyone have a source for the category? I couldn't find anything. JackO'Lantern 04:35, 7 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Marilyn Manson

[edit]

I think it's a bit much to say he's a fanatic, I seem to remember more 2Pac references than Manson ones. Thoughts? XdiabolicalX 16:29, 23 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I removed it, because of that reasoning. Like you, I've seen more references to Tupac than Manson. Disinclination 05:54, 12 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Why did they delete it?

[edit]

Hi! I changed the thing about his surname, because its not pronounced like Smanda. It's a polish surname, therefore it's pronounced like Shmanda. So, why did, I don't know who, delete it? It's the correct form. xX

The fact that he's of Polish origin doesn't mean that he pronounces his name the way it would be pronounced in Polish. I've looked up an interview with him on YouTube and the name was pronounced "Smanda". --Hburdon 00:03, 30 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I was watching the episode "Fannysmackin'" with commentary from the writer and director of the episode. They both pronounced "Szmanda" as "Zmanda". Considering these two guys worked with Eric for a good week and a half on this episode, I'd go with the way they pronouce it. It is pronounced "Zmanda". I met another Szmanda in Wisconsin that is related (honestly, how many Szmandas do you think are in Wisconsin) and he says its Zmanda. Or, if its easier for you to picture how to pronounce it, Zamanda.--24.166.136.99 (talk) 15:11, 11 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]
If they were still living in Poland, yeah it would be "Shmanda" but almost all Americans of Polish descent now pronounce their names how other Americans would expect, so "Zmanda" it is. I honestly know of hardly any Polish-Americans who still pronounce their surnames the way their ancestors did. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 207.112.46.18 (talk) 05:25, 7 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]
"Zmanda"... OMG ... . It´s like you say "zech" for "czech" (cech - sounds and looks much better but is still not correct). "Sz" / "Cz" is always pronounced as "Sh" / "Ch", not only polish but also in czech or hungarian or other slavic languages . In Germany where I live slavic words/names with "Sz" / "Cz" are always pronounced as "Sh" / "Ch" sometimes as "S" or " C" but not "Z" !? For Szmanda will be Shmanda or Smanda. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 79.226.25.91 (talk) 22:11, 10 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Jorja Fox

[edit]

Anyone else hear the rumors of Eric and Jorja going out? It was all over the CSI fan sites about 2 months ago. Szmanda and Fox's reps arn't talking but I saw a few photos from the Emmys and it seemed like they were a couple. Maybe I'm over analyzing but if anyone else wants to stick something about this in the wikipage than g'head. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 67.186.118.158 (talk) 02:25, 10 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Szmanda is very good and longtime friends with von Teese, even to that extend that they both romanced each other in an episode of CSI. In her article the friendship is mentioned. Should we add that here? Glamourqueen (talk) 01:07, 14 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
