Extensive Diary Entry
[edit]...comprises most of the article. Ouch. Could someone pretty-please glean whatever was supposed to be important out of it and turn this back into, well, an article? Thanks. 70.51.28.46 (talk) 03:52, 8 April 2011 (UTC)
World War II service
[edit]Although the article says Fleming was a Merchant Marine before joining the Navy in 1942, there are no reliable sources found as of yet that state he was in a war zone during the war or had a role in the war. More specifically, the sources do not establish defining role in World War II. Accordingly, "Category:United States Merchant Mariners of World War II" is removed until a defining role is established.
