- Pass/Fail:
- Done The Personal Life section definitely needs some expansion and, as a contemporary and living figure, there should be plenty of information about him out there. Who were his parents? What was his childhood like? Where did he go to school? Did he attend college or university? When did he begin playing hockey? How did he get into hockey? How did he meet Rebecca and who is she? What does she do? You don't have to answer all of these questions, of course, especially if the information isn't available, but these are the types of questions that can help you start thinking of ways to expand the article.
- The second "paragraph" (which is really only a single sentence) should be expanded to include other accomplishments or information, per WP:LEAD, which requires the lead to be a full summary of the contents of the article. Once the Personal Life section is expanded, you can put some of that information in the lead and move some of what was formerly the second paragraph (that I merged into the first one) into the current second paragraph.
- Some statements require citations:
- Done "Brewer finished his rookie season with 11 points in 63 games, a respectable mark for any rookie defencemen; however, Brewer's 1999-00 NHL season was not as productive. With only 2 assists in 26 games, Brewer spent a large portion of the season with the Islanders' AHL affiliate, the Lowell Lock Monsters." (New York Islanders)
- Done "Despite the new contract, Brewer was unable to play it out as a result of the 2004-05 NHL Lockout." (Edmonton Oilers – and yes, I know this seems obvious to hockey fans in this day and age, but non-hockey fans 100 years from now might not find it obvious at all)
- Both awards.
- The link to his statistics, while not requiring an in-line citation, should be under "References" rather than "External links."
- Done "International play" (but not International Statistics) should be placed before "Awards" and "Transactions" to allow the prose to flow.
- Done Reference #23 doesn't seem to lead anywhere for me.
To allow for these changes to be made, I am putting the article on hold for a period of up to seven days, after which it may be failed without further notice. Thank you for your work so far. Cheers, CP 04:44, 10 October 2007 (UTC)
- Well the hold is up today, and it looks like all of my concerns have been address (I see now that the awards are referenced earlier in the prose and that I was wrong about the stats referencing). I still recommend expanding the lead slightly to include another fact or two, since the second paragraph of the lead is only two sentences long, but as it stands, I feel alright with passing this as a Good Article. Congratulations, and thank you for your efforts! Cheers, CP 15:27, 17 October 2007 (UTC)

Eric Brewer (ice hockey) → Eric Brewer – Primary topic. Page views: hockey 1975, scientist 291. Marcus Qwertyus 19:01, 29 July 2011 (UTC)
- Support. The hockey player is the primary topic, as evidenced by page views (plus has the added bonus of being a FA). Also, if this RM is successful, the dab page can be deleted and a hatnote added to this article per WP:TWODABS. Jenks24 (talk) 12:41, 6 August 2011 (UTC)
