NOTES
[edit]I have added a note section to refer to numbered notes in text but don't know how to do this so they are linked. Also I have a photo of E Arnott to add but could not upload to wiki. Any advice would be appreciated Mike — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2.101.204.137 (talk) 12:12, 31 December 2011 (UTC) I have now managed to provide in line citations and upload the photo. Are there any other major issues I should address - all feedback welcome. Ovigalltd (talk) 18:45, 6 January 2012 (UTC)
Issues
[edit]- External links: the article has inline external links in contravention of WP:EL. It is not appropriate to include the external link for, say, Harrow School, link to the Wikipedia article instead (Harrow School). External links that comply with WP:EL should be gathered together in an External links section at the end of the article. If the EL is intended to be used as a reference, see below.
- I have fixed the heading levels.
- Notability: the subject may be notable per the guidelines at WP:BIO, but the references do not support that. While references to his publications are important, what the article really needs are references to third party reliable sources that demonstrate notability. For assistance citing references, please see WP:Referencing for beginners.
- I will add some appropriate categories.
Hope this helps. – ukexpat (talk) 14:25, 12 January 2012 (UTC)
- Added a reference to Arnott's biography "A New Beginning in Sight" with ISBN. Added that he was awarded IIIC Medal in 2000. Put in link to Wikipedia article on Rayner (company)
- Under Career there is mention of another British surgeon Emanuel Rosen - but is Professor his correct title?
- Good article, certainly Eric Arnott was notable in his field.
I hope this helps.

improvements to Eric Arnott article
[edit]Further references and in line citations have been added to improve the article. Is this now sufficient to remove the 'multiple issue warnings'. What else needs to be done to further improve? Thanks Mike Ovigalltd (talk) 12:15, 27 April 2012 (UTC)
