A couple of quick questions

[edit]
  1. If this hymn is a contrafactum of an earlier work, why not just say so (instead of "a paraphrase and expansion")?
  2. What is the source of the English translation, and how do we know that it is out of copyright?

I tried adding a {{lang}} template, please remove it if it isn't wanted. Justlettersandnumbers (talk) 18:50, 4 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]

I translated, and it's not a contrafactum, taking just one little idea + the melody, and I also - if I had remembered the word - don't know how many of our readers know it.
I addded many more "lang". --Gerda Arendt (talk) 19:14, 4 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]
That's what a contrafactum is – a new text set to the existing melody (in a "classical" context – in jazz it is just a contrafact). Ping me if you need other template help. Justlettersandnumbers (talk) 20:15, 4 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]
