Erasmus Darwin Leavitt's education
[edit]This piece doesn't mention it, but it appears (unless I'm mistaken) that Leavitt attended Harvard. At least, among those appointed by the Harvard Board of Overseers in 1903 to two committees to oversee the Lawrence Scientific School as well as the Jefferson Physical Laboratory and Department of Physics was "Erasmus D. Darwin."[1] It seems to me that this gentleman must be the engineer Erasmus Darwin Leavitt, unless someone (more expert than I) has another explanation. - Looks like I was incorrect, and he simply was put on the committee by the University. He served an apprenticeship, and I inserted a footnote to the appropriate source.MarmadukePercy (talk) 05:36, 18 December 2008 (UTC)
Name
[edit]Was he related to Erasmus Darwin, the grandfather of Charles Darwin? Eric Kvaalen (talk) 08:12, 2 February 2019 (UTC)
