Champion
[edit]Absolutley no doubt that Equipoise was regarded as the Champion handicap/older horse,[1] but there are no contemporary records of any formal award being made. The article makes this clear. Tigerboy1966 14:55, 21 February 2012 (UTC) There is no contemporary reference to Equipoise being awarded a Horse of the Year award.[2] Tigerboy1966 15:02, 21 February 2012 (UTC)
I think a good analogy here would be the "Newspaper decisions" in boxing between 1911 and 1920. They gave a summary of expert opinion, but were not formal or official decisions, and are not recorded as such. Tigerboy1966 10:20, 22 February 2012 (UTC)
Upgrade
[edit]Just completed a big expansion/upgrade. American racing isn't really my field but I did my best. Tigerboy1966 16:11, 22 February 2012 (UTC)
