Page protection
By the way, I see we are having a lot of trouble with anon IP and driveby new account edits, so I asked for page protection on this article. Montanabw(talk) 22:57, 24 March 2017 (UTC)
Minor tweaks and expansion of lead.
Finally got around to getting full text of the Nelson 2016 study, which other editors here have cited with approval. I was comfortable with the phrasing of their conclusions, "... if the practices of EAT and EAL are to move out of the “fringe” of mental health and learning professional practice and into the mainstream, their theoretical under pinnings, certification and licensure procedures, and methodology of practice must become more clearly defined." I am wondering if we can somehow incorporate that into the lead. I am concerned that the lead as written does not summarize the article, particularly the physical health sections (there are some physical health benefits that are well-established; it's the mental health stuff that's a bit fuzzier) and I would like to see it expanded. There is also some good history in that piece that I think could be incorporated (I also own the Hallberg book cited therein). I also like their comments on equine welfare and think the content in this article could be expanded based upon this piece. Finally, their statement that Australia has no national regulatory requirements or national certifying body is worth noting. Discuss. Montanabw(talk) 22:20, 31 July 2017 (UTC)
