Page move
[edit]This article needs a better title. The generic epistularum liber primus (“first book of letters”) could just as easily apply to the first book of Pliny or Cicero of any other Latin writer whose letters have survived in more than one book. I would suggest that we move the page to Epistulae (Horace) on the model of Epistulae (Pliny) (see also Epistulae (disambiguation)). The red link Epistularum liber secundus listed among the works at Horace does not, in my view, need to be created, even as a redirect. Comments? Camenae (talk) 20:34, 9 October 2009 (UTC)
- I notice that Dbachmann has moved this page to Letters (Horace) [1]. These works are rarely if ever called "Letters". The Oxford Classical Dictionary, the standard English language reference on the Classical world, calls the "Epistles", as does the Loeb Classical Library, Encyclopædia Britannica, and even World Book. I am moving the page to Epistles (Horace), though my personal preference would be for Epistulae (Horace). Camenae (talk) 12:35, 14 October 2009 (UTC)
