The addition of EpiData to the wiki was suggested by other persons in public health using the software. The comment by "DEB" is welcomed. The collaborative effort of many is important. The EpiData article is obviously an information article, but since products are avaialable for free and all documentation released under GNU licenses statements I see no problem in this. cleanup
[edit]I gave the article a thorough cleanup and copyedit to conform it to the Manual of Style. I removed (but did not delete) one image, the screenshot of the application, because it was too small to be useful. A screenshot needs to be large enough to give a general idea of the application's GUI. If someone wants to upload a new, larger image, place it inside the infobox just under the logo slot and set it to about 200px. With images like this, it's better to err on the side of largesse, as a large image can be scaled down but a small image cannot be enlarged. - KrakatoaKatie 05:28, 1 October 2007 (UTC)
Thanks for the very clear language changes introduced by KrakatoaKatie. The problem of the links to the scientific articles are that most of these are not available for free to the public unless you are in a university setting. I understood the principles such that links to such sources are not appropriate. Other links would be external. A collection of research papers are referenced at http://www.epidata.dk/links.htm. I now found the correct way to reference pubmed articles with the PMID identifier. Citations added accordingly. Text trimmed due to the important wiki link to control-charts. Epidata 17:16, 9 October 2007 (UTC)
