Talk:Entity class
Entity classes are simply a core abstraction from the Data Layer in Software Engineering and their use are commonplace where the Data Layer is a Database. Its primary objection is to mask Business Logic classes from changes in the Database. Since their use is important and since they are much more than just a data modeling construct they deserve a page dedicated to them.
Neutrality
[edit]In reading the passages regarding differing usage between the object-oriented community and the entity-relationship community it seems the author is a member of the entity-relationship community. The passage reads as an argument in favor of the latter community's opinion. However, in a factual article no one's opinion can be labeled as the wrong opinion.
Additionally, the article reads as though the original author has autonomously decided upon the definition of entity class.
