Ensisheim meteorite: historical background

[edit]

In 1492, Ensisheim was the capital of the Landgravate of Upper Alsace, a territory of the Holy Roman Empire and a fief of the counts of Habsburg, a title then held by Maximilian I, Holy Roman Empire. The expression 'Further Germany' is really not helpful. I would suggest 'then in the Imperial Landgravate of Upper Alsace, now in France' but am a bit hesitant about capitalization and syntax.
