Hello all,
I currently do work for Connecticut schools promoting individual schools' wikipedia page. I've been concentrating this past year on Enfield High School, but I'd like to start some significant work on EFHS's page.
You can help by contributing factual information, and citing sources whenever you can.
-I have a few things to say about your page first of all. Great work doing the research on course information about the school, but it looks "oddly" similar to Enfield High's which is understandable. Just try to differentiate from the two schools because they can't be "exactly" the same.
-Also, for the "namesake" section, history about Enrico Fermi is really arbitrary because Fermi already has his own page about his life and history. If you could elaborate on reasons why the school was named Enrico Fermi, or just keep what you have and take out his history, then that would be fine.
-About Erica Hines: I'm from Hartford County and I have no clue who she is. It sounds like there's some bias because of the mere fact she's in there. It may be that's she's special in this town, but as far as being famous or renowned, she really isn't (sorry to probable fans; didn't mean to burst your bubble). As factual as it may be, remain neutral. Just because someone went to Brown on a track scholarship doesn't mean that she's an instant celebrity. The "notable" alumni section is made for people who have made something of themselves. If she finds the cure for cancer, then she'll definitely deserve a section there, but in the meantime, I'll have to take it out. "Notable alumni" should be a section reserved for those who've achieved something worthy of national recognition. It takes away from the "real" distinguished alumni.
-Pictures would be nice concerning the wikipage. The page is new, so it needs time. Also, where it says "citation needed," please insert a news article or something that makes this statement accurate rather than just a statement. Also, please elaborate on these sections. Students, teachers, anyone who works on the page, please work to make the page accurate.
Thanks,
Miranda
