Relations?
[edit]Think he is related to the Edward Wigglesworth family and the Doles of Hawaii, but need to track down more sources.
So far this DAR book and this article seem to imply his mother was Hannah Knapp Dole, maternal grandparents Samuel Dole and Katherine Wigglesworth. But the Edward Wigglesworth they describe is a different one, who served in the American Revolutionary War. Since many of the Doles in Hawaii are descended from Wigglesworth Dole (1779–1845) that might explain why he went there. But get lost on the Samuel Dole connection. Perhaps Sam's father was the Edward Wigglesworth (1732–1794) mentioned here but that does not give any Samuel as his son. W Nowicki (talk) 18:38, 4 September 2010 (UTC)
- OK, I found a probable brother of Wigglesworth Dole: Samuel Dole (c. 1775–?) who married Katherine Wigglesworth (1780–?) whose father was Colonel Edward Wigglesworth (1841–1826), whose father was Samuel Wigglesworth (c. 1689–?) whose father was Michael Wigglesworth (1631–1705).web source
- But cannot find Hannah Knapp yet. On the other hand, Wigglesworth Dole's son Daniel Dole (1808–1878) married a Charlotte Knapp (1813–1874) in :Hawaii. Not confident enough yet. W Nowicki (talk) 21:59, 4 September 2010 (UTC)
