Requested move 02 November 2016

The result of the move request was: Procedural close. The page Enforcement was taken to AfD and closed as kept, so unless there is consensus for where this page should go, the current dab page here can't be moved. I don't think this is out of process, but IAR / WP:BOLD, closing. If the nominator would like to suggest a target for the Enforcement article, open a fresh RM perhaps. (non-admin closure) — Andy W. Enforcement (disambiguation) → Enforcement – The current topic of Enforcement is simply a dictionary definition of an obscure use of the word; it should be replaced by the disambiguation page. – CapitalSasha ~ talk 03:49, 2 November 2016 (UTC) --Relisting: Enforcement is still at AfD — Andy W. - @CapitalSasha: The target article Enforcement will need an AfD. GeoffreyT2000 (talk, contribs) 04:12, 2 November 2016 (UTC)
- Or Enforcement could be moved to Enforcement (gibberish for deletion) or something like that. I AfD'd it. Dicklyon (talk) 04:43, 2 November 2016 (UTC)
- I disagree. Moving Enforcement out of the way, and replacing it with the dab page will confuse AfD folks which page we're actually referring to. Unless someone wants to update all the existing AfD pages. Hold off on this — Andy W. (talk) 04:53, 2 November 2016 (UTC)

- Move but not until the AfD has closed. PamD 08:26, 2 November 2016 (UTC)
- Oppose move. The concept of "enforcement" (i.e. ensuring compliance with laws or social norms) is the subject of considerable scholarly discussion among legal scholars, sociologists, social psychologists, political scientists, and philosophers. This concept is clearly the WP:PRIMARYTOPIC and an article discussing this concept should exist at this title. I created an updated version of the enforcement article that focused on this concept (see this diff for a version the updated article), but I was reverted by Dicklyon. We can let both this discussion and the AfD for enforcement (see Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Enforcement (2nd nomination)) play out, but I think the best outcome would be to ultimately keep the status quo with the article title and keep the updated content that I added to the enforcement article. Best, -- Notecardforfree (talk) 19:13, 2 November 2016 (UTC)
- Oppose move. I am baffled why Notecardforfree's version of the article was reverted. It's just what is needed at that title. — Gorthian (talk) 19:25, 2 November 2016 (UTC)
- I felt that replacing an article by a new article on a different topic, in the middle of an AfD for a move, was inappropriate. Nothing against the article, but he didn't make a primarytopic case, just jumped in and took over this title as if it were available for a new article. Dicklyon (talk) 03:40, 3 November 2016 (UTC)
- Procedural note AFD closed. — Andy W. (talk) 19:01, 11 November 2016 (UTC)
