Rosko's Book
[edit]Emperor_Rosko and his 1976 book, and there's quite a lot of stuff in the book that could pad out the wiki article. Even just the first 8 pages where he describes the first station he ever worked on, KCVA, the house station aboard USS Coral Sea CV A 43, stuff like having to suspend the record decks from rubber bands so the records wouldn't skip when the planes landed etc. Written by a man influenced by Wolfman Jack and a genuine American. This is a technical book about how the equipment works, but in an easy to understand form. It is now out of date in that it does not cover CD or many of the newer technical advancements. Especially now that Rosko has returned on air by satellite in the South East on Classic Gold on Sunday evenings this is worth a read. It has plenty of pics in it, including an interesting one of Rosko carrying Anne Nightingale onto the Radio 1 double decker. Charles 01:53, 27 July 2007 (UTC)
