Life section and POV

[edit]

I added an Inappropriate Tone tag. At the least the Life section needs to be wikified. Beyond that it has assertions such as "unfairly dismissed" which at the least, need to be supported if they are to remain. AllyD 20:17, 2 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Extent to which this article is autobiographical?

[edit]

The substantial edits which have created this article are those on July 3rd 2006 and March 25th 2007. Are these autobiographical? AllyD 20:17, 2 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

adjusted

[edit]

I have adjusted the tone by removing material which belongs in an article about the general subject of Existential Psychotherapy, if that subject is considered notable. I've also removed stuff that look like puffery, so I think there is no coi concern remaining. 18:32, 7 July 2007 (UTC)DGG (talk)

Very interesting....

[edit]

" becoming Associate Director of their Masters programme in Humanistic Psychology, and Director of the new MA in the Psychology of Therapy and Counselling in 1982. "

...How someone can become director of a Masters program in therapy and counselling at the tender age of 29, when they themselves don't even have a relevant Masters in the afforementioned fields but only a couple of years undergraduate training of dubious credentials in clinical psychology; whilst at the same time being a foreigner in their country of residence and bearing a son... Well I guess it's similar to self aggrandizing editing of pages in wikipedia...

"In 1996 she separated from her second husband, David Smith. She left Regent's College in the same year, and created the New School of Psychotherapy and Counselling together with Professor Digby Tantam, at the London campus of Schiller International University, by whom she was awarded an honorary Professorship. NSPC was specifically conceived for the training of existential therapists.

In 1997 Emmy van Deurzen moved to Sheffield, and married Digby Tantam in 1998 "

Another very tasty bit this one...honorary professorships by your husband to be...marvelous.

Tidy

[edit]

In attempting a minor tidy, I've removed a reference I can't view from the intro but I'm saving it here in case it's useful later.[1] BulbaThor (talk) 14:19, 22 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Also removed following until such a time that it can be verified that the publications are indeed article about her contribution and not articles which mention her contribution. Can be re-instated with less grandiose title if the latter appears to be the case.
