[edit]

This is insane, this page looks like propaganda of a dynasty with two direct links to Merode site. No fact checking. No references. He has written 12 scientific papers?. References please. He is the grand son of a well known conservator. Well he is also from belgium, country who cutted arms of not enough productive black people ("manche longues, manches courtes", rings a bell?). Why emphasizing so much (the dynasty like diagram) one and omitting altogether the other.

I am moving the link to the external site to the reference part.

Otherwise, I am not touching the material of the existing article. In a sense, it shows so well the vanity of the personnage. but I will just add some material with some references. So people can judge for themselves.

But I don't think objectivity is giving the two sides of a story. I hope this will be done in the future.

Gorillas are used as scapegoats for the looting from rwanda by the nkunda milices as explained by one of my references.

The other, the figaro, needs French understanding, but the title speaks for itself. Some apologies are sometimes better to uncovers the vanity and vacuity of people than documented critics. It mentions only the prince and the gorillas. The civil war is just an exotic and thrilling backgound when millions of people have died in RDC the last few wars of the consequence of the unrest, women are raped, people are tortured.

I am nauseated that, out of ignorance, the wikipedia is an accomplice to Merode forfaiture. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 82.67.232.89 (talk) 21:52, 16 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Please, use as reference material written by independent journalists who have a real knowledge of RDC or provide context that shows the real nature of other references. —196.201.151.5

Apparently 196.201.151.5 left the safe things in Mérode bio, the bibliography. But by his own words in his propaganda site, Mérode is working mainly from Nairobi. Prettty strange for someone who is in charge of a park in RDC, but very safe. Also 196.201.151.5 is based in Nairobi! How strange!. More concerned by saving his ass and communication than doing something real. By mere recouping of infos in Internet (do it for yourself!), one easily sees Merode's imposture.

Attempted Assasinations

[edit]

IP edits have switched National Congress for the Defence of the People to Democratic Forces for the Liberation of Rwanda (FDLR). Not knowing enough about the different groups, I can't tell if this is a political switch (in which case citations and balance) or a genuine error being fixed. — Preceding unsigned comment added by EmyP (talkcontribs) 12:05, 2 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]

This is a genuine error correction: CNDP no longer existed at the time of the assassination, and a number of sources reference FDLR (Human Rights Watch, Daily Telegraph etc)

Sock-puppets

[edit]

Much of this article is written by sock-puppets of de Merode. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 78.239.194.60 (talk) 14:23, 28 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]
