Style issues
[edit]I have reverted the last edit because many of the changes violated the Wikipedia:Manual of Style, and undid corrections that I spent a lot of time making. Some of them include:
- capitalisation must follow standard English capitalisation -- job desciptions such as "fashion commentator" are not titles, and therefore are not proper nouns and must not be capitalised.
- do not use in-line external links
- encyclopaedia articles are not on a first name basis with their subjects - state the full name on the first instance, and then use the last name only thereafter, unless the first name is needed to distinguish the subject from someone with the same last name
- use a neutral tone
- "modeling" is spelt "modelling" in UK English - see WP:ENGVAR
- in section headings, capitalise only the first word and proper nous -- see WP:HEAD
- avoid the & symbol - use the word "and" instead

I have also deleted a bunch of text that was clearly promotional in nature, or obviously opinion, and not factual, e.g.,
- His flamboyant style, sharp wit and extroverted personality got him instantly noticed.
- Ray regularly dispenses invaluable style advice
- His willingness to stand up for, defend and help those who're being used, abused or taken advantage of in the industry,
- He is known for his honest work ethic, efficiency, his skilled team of professionals and for offering his clients great value for their money.
- A trend setter and a style icon,
- ending up a fabulous London Socialite in the salons in Mayfair [I am sure in his own mind, he is fabulous, but it is not appropriate for an encyclopedia to report this as fact]
There are some things that could be potentially libellous if not referenced to a reliable source, e.g.,
- He took a break in the early 2000s due to personal problems.
And this made no sense at all:
- He played a flamboyant and funny gay guy named 'Oscar', who encourages his friend to date her rich boyfriends's generosity.

Removal of information
[edit]I have removed some information from this article partly for the reasons mentioned above (some of this has obviously been added back in in the mean time). Also, a lot of the personal information needs citations to reliable sources to be included here. Specifically, titbits about his "secret affairs", "flings" and "passionate relationships", references to drug & alcohol use and mental health—this stuff cannot be added without proper references. (See WP:BLP). --BelovedFreak 15:37, 24 October 2010 (UTC)
Agreed. It seems that the requests for citations have been unheeded over the past few months, so I will start removed the unreferenced information soon unless it is correctly refenced to reliable sources. Ground Zero | t 16:27, 14 January 2011 (UTC)
Since these statements have been questioned and undefended for over four months now, I've removed them. It would be worth taking another look to see if "citation needed" tags should be added to other statements. Ground Zero | t 15:53, 28 February 2011 (UTC)
These problems are occuring again. I will protect this article against editting by unregistered and new users if it happens again. Removing this material repeatedly is a waste of time. Ground Zero | t 18:47, 16 August 2012 (UTC)
Should be removed
[edit]This person is a complete nobody. Not a celebrity, not anyone of importance. Remove page. Tom579579 (talk) 15:47, 5 July 2022 (UTC)
Unreliable sources?
[edit]Many of the sources in this article do not appear to be from reliable sources. Claims made on the page refer to work for major media outlets but citations link to self published blog posts from non-functional sites. Many of these cited sites include similar wording, suggesting they were written by the same person. It seems as though this is a self-published wikipedia page which would be vandalism of this site and I would suggest that this page is put up for deletion unless proper citations are found. 86.31.61.170 (talk) 16:44, 5 August 2023 (UTC)
Date of Birth
[edit]The correct date of birth is September 27, 1980. This can be verified in UK company filings for Emmanuel Ray Productions Limited.
