Cult

[edit]

This page reads like a brochure for a cult, written by the cult. Can we get some objective perspective here? It has no business being this long and wholly supportive 2601:602:A380:1960:D85F:F348:4D99:390 (talk) 17:17, 13 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Tried to improve this. Added a section about their many accusations of being a cult over the years, added some (previously, a bit strangely omitted) pertinent details about the founder's plane crash, and added details about how they used to, and no longer do, host ARISE and some concerns the public had about that. While looking at articles, I also found court documents about a lawsuit that they had against ARISE that could perhaps be good to note, though I'm not sure how I'd get an original copy of that to verify the information, plus I think it'd be a non-ideal primary source(?) anyway so, shrug. Just an FYI that that exists I guess. The section about cult accusations is a bit quote-heavy, but I don't see a realistic way around that given the nature of the topic and the angles of the available sources. I made it as concise as I could while including the unique serious claims against them. Also rearranged it a lot and reworded the info fairly well IMO while keeping it truthful to what was actually claimed, given all that. Will probably revise a bit later. Ideas and feedback welcome, ofc. TheWorldWeKnew (talk) 10:45, 31 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
