- I don't have time to look it up right now, but look for interviews during the Gilmore Girls run. In particular, search for that theater group. I remember reading at least one interview, maybe more, with her in which she talked at length about the theater group and about how she, as a Japanese-American actor, approached the creation of Mrs. Kim and the character's non-stereotypical but distinct speech pattern.
