Minor nitpick, but.

[edit]

Smith College, though one of the Seven Sisters, was not affiliated with Yale University (even in its early days, much less the mid-twentieth century). Unless I am very much mistaken -- and if I am, feel free to correct me -- I have snipped that from the sentence so that it now reads: She was raised by a strict social code and graduated from Smith College, one of the "Seven Sisters". Criticism of the character

[edit]

Great work with the article so far! I just wanted to point out that there has been criticism of the character's interactions with her maids, which several media outlets deemed racist. This was primarily focused on her storyline with Berta in the revival, but there are some references to the original show as well. Here are some sources about this that can be used in the article: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, and 6. Aoba47 (talk) 15:18, 20 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]

  • Thank you!:-) Yeah I definitely remember there being a lot of backlash about Berta the new maid; I'm actually a little susprised (and overwhelmed) but just how muchhhh coverage this character has received on the Internet, my browser has at least 75 tabs open right now lol. But it's coming together slowly :)--Changedforbetter (talk) 17:03, 20 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]
  • Thank you for your response. I am actually quite pleasantly surprised by how much coverage this particular character has received online. I just wanted to make sure that you were are of the more negative reviews of the character and her related storyline to make sure that the article stays balanced as it can be quite easy to stay focused on purely the positive reception. I also wanted to include some links from reliable sources just to make it easier for you and help you out a little there. You have done a lot of excellent work with this, like always, and definitely take your time with this as I can assume this will take awhile for everything to come together. Good luck with it! I would suggest putting this as its own paragraph in the Reception section. Aoba47 (talk) 17:27, 20 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]

GAN?

[edit]

@Changedforbetter: I apologize for the random message, but I was wondering if you are planning to take this to GAN. You have done a lot of excellent work with this article, and I could see it having a shot there. Aoba47 (talk) 20:23, 21 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]

@Aoba47: Hey, no worries, always good to hear from you. Yeah I have in fact thought about finishing up this article and getting it to GA at some point, but it's on the back burner right now simply because there are a few more articles I'm a little more passionate about. But it's definitely on the list.--Changedforbetter (talk) 03:05, 22 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Makes sense to me. Thank you for the response! Good luck with your current and future projects. Aoba47 (talk) 03:26, 22 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]
