Needs a new structure, less interest in management issues per se, more in developmental economics. --Christofurio 14:16, Mar 17, 2005 (UTC)

Reference requested
I added a link as reference to the MSCI emerging market equity index, I hope that is sufficient. Mceder 05:25, 26 February 2006 (UTC)
No Cambodia, Nepal or Bangladesh?
How come there is no Cambodia, Nepal or Bangladesh in the list? Cambodia and Bangladesh have done pretty good in recent years with Bangladesh's growth rate around 7% and it is expecting 2 billion dollar FDis from each Tata and some Saudi investor. Nepal too has a brilliant geography and lot of tourists go there and now that it is democratic economy should flourish more.
- Well, it seems the list has grown a lot from edits by anons ips recently. The reference on the original list is also removed (as it should, since plenty of countries were added that were not on that reference list).. A better question perhaps is, what qualifies an emerging market and should a reference be added for each country added? Mceder 03:33, 18 June 2006 (UTC)
Revised list to reconform with MSCI emerging market equity index
I revised the list to fit with the MSCI index, which is as neutral a standard as I can find -- noting the recent "country creep" from anon IPs where various pet nations wind up on the list. In theory, every market is emerging at some rate, but for practical purposes I feel the list should include countries generally considered emerging. I've seen elsewhere, Global Cities for one, where partisans for this place and that continually edit the list to insert their own favourites, which doesn't help anybody, so I hope that going to something more neutral (and noting their limitations) will prevent all of the "Where is Queen Maud Land? It grew 21% in the last three years" sort of edits. --ByeByeBaby 23:31, 30 July 2006 (UTC)
Adding report on Chindia to External Links
I would like to link our report on Chindia -- Chindia and Its Impact to the External Links section. I believe the report has a lot of information relevant to this page. The report is free and no registration is required. Jtkachuk 19:02, 19 April 2007 (UTC)
- Why don't you take the best parts of the report and include it in the article instead? SchmuckyTheCat 21:20, 19 April 2007 (UTC)
- Because it's a webcast. Jtkachuk 21:35, 19 April 2007 (UTC)
