Stop changing the genre
[edit]Stop listing rock as a genere of Emanuel. Yes, they are rock. And so are half the bands in the last 50 years. Only list rock as a genre if they honestly can't be classified in a more specific manner. Emanuel are a post-hardcore band, a relatively specific genre of rock, and more specifically punk rock, therefore there is really no reason to add rock as a genre. - Razorhead March 31 2007
- Is that really a reason not include a genre, if it applies to this band as well as to many others? It's commonly done on Wikipedia to list first a more genereal genre, such as rock, hip-hop, etc., and then to list more specific styles, such as ska punk, christian gansta rap, post-hardcore (see e.g. Red Hot Chili Peppers, New Found Glory, Something Corporate, Justin Timberlake). --HarryCane 14:17, 2 April 2007 (UTC)
"After many problems, they are writing some new songs for a third album." I dont know who wrote that, thats what all of us want to hear, but it will be really hard to happend after all Matt Breen´s problems, and the fucking label support.
-Yea, I mean, Matt has a lot of problems at the moment, but he did say in those blog entries he wrote on the emanuel myspace page a while ago that there's a basement with amps set up and an emanuel banner, and that he's writing a lot. I doubt we'll hear anything soon though. Im sure they wouldnt have too much trouble finding a label. I emailed Matt about 4 times, but he never got back to me. Hopefully he can overcome all of his issues and make music again. 98.116.57.50 (talk) —Preceding undated comment added 02:07, 21 October 2009 (UTC).
I would just like to note that the "rivalling high schools" referenced in the main article are the Jeffersonville County Public High School and Our Lady of Providence High School. I am not exactly sure which band members came from which schools, and any clarification on this matter would be appreciated --74.129.201.182 (talk) 06:50, 29 June 2009 (UTC) T.M. Samples
