Is this true? Hyacinth 12:02, 31 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Unsourced. Hyacinth 12:05, 31 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Oh yeah, her long relationship with Ginsberg has been well documented. She lived at his apartment (not in the Biblical sense, of course) when she first came to New York in 1972, and provided musical backgrounds for his readings. I've written about it in American Music in the Twentieth Century, as well as in several Village Voice interviews with her. The wording about her improvisations comes from her own writing about her system, which hasn't been published, but has circulated privately. Her terminology is slightly eccentric - but it is possible to use a diatonic scale without implying a definite tonal center, which may be her meaning. Kylegann 15:29, 31 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]
I just realized I originally added both sentences. Hyacinth 17:00, 31 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]
