Arsenic content

[edit]
Arsenic related water supply content, although very important, can not be presented as not supported by sources. Content stated 20% of wells tested should high concentrations of Arsenic and there are issues with this. I could not find those figures in the source supplied and a "Conclusion" of the source states "Published concentrations of As in groundwaters and aquifer sediments from southern Louisiana are currently limited, and the mechanisms controlling As mobilization from aquifer sediments in this region are likely complex and diverse." and "Because groundwaters are important domestic and municipal water source in southern Louisiana, a better and complete understanding of As distribution in groundwaters is essential to the health of the local population.", indicating more studies are needed.
It might be interesting to note that of 34 parishes that have adopted a "Ground Water Protection Ordinance" Assumption Parish is not included. The parish is included in the state monitored Wellhead Protection Program. Otr500 (talk) 10:33, 16 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]
