"Part-Time Lesbian"
[edit]Shouldn't the quite numerous references of the character being maybe a lesbian be mentioned? ex: she fake-outs herself, reverting it later as her mother actually listened to her; the "permanent friend zone" which J.D. enters includes at least one girl; there are iirc. 2 occasions where she flirts with girls while drunk; in S7 she demonstrates that lesbians like to be called "slick"; friendship with Dr. Molly Clock (some voice-over during a hip-hop concert mentions some "strong lesbian bias"), calling people "girlfriend" and the "let's make out" joke. (oh and it would maybe be the only possible ending of the show to be accepted by fans: she and J.D. can't be together as it would be outrageously romantic, an open end would suck, thus just outing the character would be acceptable) —Preceding unsigned comment added by 92.226.199.122 (talk) 10:16, 28 May 2008 (UTC)
Ballet?
[edit]In the Episode My Unicorn Elliot mentions to Murray's son that she always wanted to be a ballet dancer when she was younger but was told by her mother that she couldn't because of her mild scoliosis and large man feet. Should this be included in the character biography??
Running Joke
[edit]I've changed "It is a running joke in the show that she and J.D. slept together at least once during each of the first three seasons, although creator Bill Lawrence has hinted that this may cease in order to avoid cliché storylines" to "It was a running joke in the show that she and J.D. slept together at least once a year during each of the first three seasons, however this has seemingly ended in order to avoid cliché storylines."
This seems to me to make more sense. Anyone care to disagree?Crimson Shadow 01:54, 17 May 2006 (UTC)
RL Dr reid!
[edit]- ==Real Life== - A real life Elliot Reid teaches Programming at Bournemouth University in the United Kingdom, a fact his students find highly amusing, and will at some point complete his Doctorate becoming Dr. Elliot Reid. An image and bio can be found here [[1]].
i have to confess i found this rather funny and was tempted to RV it.. can the guy who just deleted it find a better place to put this info? i mean come on we don't have to be so stiff about this??
ahwang 10:22, 21 May 2006 (UTC)
its just a random person chances are Elliot Reid isnt even based on him. this info just doesn need to be here unless the directors verified that she is based on him. I bet you it would e easy to find other elliot reids. Dappled Sage 05:25, 10 February 2007 (UTC)

Her actress, Sarah Chalke is. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 69.248.132.164 (talk) 12:13:01, August 19, 2007 (UTC)
Contradiction
[edit]The family history section says that she is an only child then says she has four brothers. --Ebz 22:05, 22 October 2006 (UTC)
Another one: in Family history, she's a Catholic, but in Peculiarities, she's a WASP.71.163.31.131 02:15, 5 June 2007 (UTC)
- Also, she's an "Anglo-Saxon Protestant" but she's German? -- LightSpectra (talk)
- What contradiction? The article doesn't say she's German, it says she's of German descent, a completely different thing. --Jac16888Talk 15:39, 28 March 2009 (UTC)
- Anglo-Saxons are of German descent, if you want to go back 1000 years. But in conversation, this would be considered unusual, so I suggest that this be changed. -- LightSpectra (talk) 22:24, 30 March 2009 (UTC)
- I still don't see how thats a contradiction, and at the same time, we don't know where her german descent is from, its quite possible she has one german grandparent, the rest are all wasps. And anyway, this isn't something we've come up with, its confirmed in the show and its perfectly possible, therefore the contradiction box should be removed--Jac16888Talk 22:32, 30 March 2009 (UTC)
- Disregarding that, there are still the other problems. -- LightSpectra (talk) 00:39, 31 March 2009 (UTC)

Age
[edit]Right now, the article makes a point about how it can be explained that Elliot graduated medical school when being only 24 years old. In episode 612 My Fishbowl however, she says that she tried to kill herself when she was 16. She further states she had a "pee fiasco" during prom before her suicide attempt. Doesn't that imply that she graduated high school at 16? That would be a simple explanation for why she then graduated college at 20 and medical school at 24. Blur4760 01:04, 31 March 2007 (UTC)
- Possibly, but at many (if not all) schools, you do not need to be a member of the class whose prom it is to attend (or even that school, for that matter). You need only be the date of someone who is. Also, it does not say whether it was a Junior or Senior Prom. A regular student could be 16 at the time of their Junior Prom depending on when his/her birthday is. Just a thought. CallidoraBlack 03:46, 11 October 2007 (UTC)
- maybe so, but this is all just speculation, we don't know either way for certain. By the way Callidora, i removed the nicknames you added to the article (smelliot and vagina face) since they were both only mentioned once, if you check turk or J.D. articles, you'll see we only mention the commonly used nicknames--Jac16888 09:40, 11 October 2007 (UTC)
It seems Elliot's true age is becoming Original Research. While she does claim to be 29 in "My Musical", she does it in reaction to J.D. (who might be expected to know her true age) claiming she is "closer to 40 than 30". "Her Story II" (5x10) suggested that women over 30 claim to be 29. So it's at least plausible that Elliot is older than 29, but not admitting it, in season 6.—Preceding unsigned comment added by 76.71.2.47 (talk) 18:47, 22 August 2008 (UTC)
In the season 5 episode, My Day at the Races, she claims to be under 30. Jepaan (talk) 22:19, 22 August 2009 (UTC)
Trivia
[edit]is there any point in the integrate tag, because although most of the points in the trivia section can be moved elsewhere, that would defeat the object of having an "elliot reid" trivia section after all, it is more organised if all the Elliot trivia is categorised together rather than spread over seperate episodes --Jac16888 14:44, 16 April 2007 (UTC)
how do we know that the character is of german descent? we know she speaks german. i hope we are not basing things on last names as that is meaningless. --~
- she said so in an episode, can't remember which though, sorry--Jac16888 21:11, 21 July 2007 (UTC)
Peculiarities
[edit]can someone please fix this, there is a lot more to the section, but for some reason which i can't figure out, it doesn't appear on the page--Jac16888 09:39, 17 May 2007 (UTC)
- It also says her personality was modified by the second episode. It doesn't state how, it just goes into details about the former sentence about her social ineptitude. Thanks 66.79.230.25 (talk) 18:57, 28 April 2017 (UTC)
Spoilers?
[edit]Darn it people, can't someone put a spoilers warning in the profile concerning the proposal and season ending? BrotherSulayman 05:03, 6 June 2007 (UTC)
- there were spoiler warnings, but many have been removed all over wikipedia, due to a discussion about them at WP:SPOILER, and apparently the outcome was that they are mostly unneccessary on pages such as this. --Jac16888 09:19, 6 June 2007 (UTC)
Elliot's surname
[edit]In episode 3 of season 2, the memo from Dr Kelso regarding the AMA conference clearly shows runner-up "Elliot Reed", but everywhere I have seen on Wikipedia spells it Elliot Reid. Is Wikipedia wrong, or was this a typo on the show?
82.22.99.65 12:18, 24 July 2007 (UTC)
- don't remember that, but it must have been a typo because every other time it has been shown, name tags, the official websites, etc, its spelt reid--Jac16888 12:31, 24 July 2007 (UTC)
Thanks for clearing that up. It's definitely a typo in the episode then :) 82.22.99.65 15:46, 24 July 2007 (UTC)
Contradiction to Keith's article
[edit]In this article, it says Elliot and Keith are due to get married in the first week of July. However, in Keith's article, it says they're going to get married in the third week of July. Could anyone who remembers which it is please fix whichever article states the wrong date? CherryFlavoredAntacid 17:57, 8 October 2007 (UTC)
Elliot got Kelso's job
[edit]should it be said that elliot is trying to get Kelso's job —Preceding unsigned comment added by 204.111.115.236 (talk) 22:13, 8 December 2007 (UTC)
- well, i'm gonna have to go with no, it shouldn't say that in the article. Because she isn't.--Jac16888 (talk) 22:19, 8 December 2007 (UTC)
Move
[edit]Shouldn't this page be moved to Elliot (Scrubs)?. By looking at other pages, such as J.D.'s and Turk's, they are not listed with their last names, just name or nickname. I think we should do this with other Scrubs Pages.
Photo
[edit]I think we need a picture for her after the makeover in My Own American Girl.... the picture can be found at www.rateyourdoc.org, but i thought it'll be better to discuss it here before making any change to the article. --MakE shout! 06:25, 8 August 2008 (UTC)

Family
[edit]Eleanoré "Ellie" Dorian (daughter, with J.D) Is there any official statement regarding those two having children in Season 8? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 84.44.175.240 (talk) 01:45, 1 November 2008 (UTC)
- No, sorry, it was someone messiing about adding things like that to several scrubs pages, i just missed this--Jac16888 (talk) 02:01, 1 November 2008 (UTC)
party affiliation
[edit]Should it be mentioned that she is a Republican? I can only remember it being mentioned in a single episode, but it was a big deal: pretty much the whole episode dealt with the hospital getting into an argument over politics. Turk and Cox were Democrats, and Kelso knew he needed a distraction to get the hospital back in order.
- And another time, in My Sex Buddy. "Why are all my patients switching doctors? You didn't tell them I'm a Republican, right?" 75.6.241.107 (talk) 07:08, 9 June 2009 (UTC) —Preceding unsigned comment added by 199.8.26.10 (talk) 01:12, 10 February 2009 (UTC)
Marriage with JD
[edit]Is it really reasonable to enter stuff from JD´s extensive fantasy at the end of Season 8 as fact? It hasn´t actually happened on the show, and it very well may have been just a fantasy. Thesithwithashotgunshell (talk) 15:47, 23 June 2009 (UTC)
